Obi hails Obasanjo on 84th birthday

·Says he contributed greatly to Nigeria and Africa’s development

FORMER Governor of Anambra State and the Vice Presidential Candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2019 elections, Peter Obi, yesterday hailed former President Olusegun Obasanjo, as he marks his 84th birthday.

Obi said Obasanjo elder statesman has contributed greatly to the development of Nigeria and the continent.

In a birthday message made available to the media, Obi described the former president as one whose commitment to Nigeria’s development remains commendable and outstanding, adding that undoubtedly, he had contributed greatly to the development of the country, and the continent at large.

“Dear Baba, on behalf of my family, I join Nigerians from all walks of life to celebrate you today. Your courageous leadership style and democratic footprints in our nation, and indeed other African countries, is worth celebrating.” 
“As you mark your 84th birthday today, may you continually enjoy abundant health of mind and body,” stated Obi.
