THURSDAY, July 16, the day Lagos fell under heavy rain and flood, and the roads wore hectic traffic as badge of dishonour, the artist, Sylvester Aguddah, provided a succour for a group of lucky guests and art patrons who were ensconced in his world of colours and lively drawings in the cosy comfort of the rather unusual exhibition venue, Radisson Blu in GRA, Ikeja Lagos, which over time has become his preferred venue for his artistic showcasing.

The exhibition, according to the curator, Ifeanyichukwu Oraemeka, is “about the works of Sylvester AGUDDAH which are unique and rich in colours and style.”

Aguddah, continues the curator, “has always had passion for the arts, and this is reflective in his realistic and abstract representations of art and is tinged with the influences from the several parts of Africa he has inhabited.”

“This exhibition evinces his prolific renditions and highlights a hobby – cycling which he says liberates him and has been an influence in his freedom to create art,” added Oraemeka.

The showcase, opening 9am to 9pm daily, will last till July 21.
