SUPER Eagles forward Anayo Iwuala has officially joined Esperance of Tunis from Enyimba.
The 22-year-old landed in Tunisia over the weekend to sign the deal, and the formalities were concluded on Monday.
The switch, which is believed to have cost the Tunisian giants $500,000, was confirmed on Monday.Iwuala made his Super Eagles debut after standing out in the Nigeria Professional Football League this year and already has four caps for Gernot Rohr’s side.
The skilful wide man’s wages are reported to be up to $45,000 a month at the multiple-times African champions.
Esperance, who had another Super Eagles star Julius Aghahowa on their books in 1999 and 2000, are one of Africa’s most successful clubs.
They have won the UEFA Champions League four times, the last one in 2019, and the Tunisian Premier League a record 31 times.
They are current Tunisian champions.
