SUPER Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi could be playing with Real Madrid from January or the beginning of next season.
The Leicester City star has been mentioned as a player who has ignited the interest of the Spanish giants.
Ndidi, 24, was linked last summer with Manchester United and Real Madrid, and reports have emerged of a renewal of the Spaniards’ interest.
Reports in Spain are claiming that Real Madrid are ready to make a January move for the midfield enforcer, who is valued at around €60 million.
Spanish outfit Fichajes claimed that Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti is unhappy with the form of Brazil midfielder Casemiro and is keen to replace him with Ndidi.
Casemiro has reportedly attracted interest from Paris Saint-Germain and newly rich Newcastle United.
Ndidi joined Leicester City from KRC Genk in January 2017 and has since established himself as one of the best midfielders in Europe.
He has become a fan favourite at the King Power Stadium and made 187 appearances for the former Premier League champions, contributing nine goals and 11 assists from defensive midfield.
The Nigeria international’s current Leicester City contract expires at the end of June 2024.
