Insurance industry’s assets hit N2.13tr

THE National Insurance Commission (NAICOM) has revealed that the industry’s total assets were N2.13 trillion at the end of 2021.

It also indicated that the sector earned over N630.36 billion in gross premium income last year, with a net claim of N238.05 billion.

NAICOM’s Head of Corporate Communication, Rasaq Salami, disclosed this information via the Commission’s website yesterday.

According to the publication, the assets of the industry increased by 16 percent from June 2020 to September 2021, going from a total of N1.8 trillion to N2.09 billion.
