APC ‘postpones’ national convention

THE ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has postponed its planned national convention, earlier scheduled to hold on Saturday, February 26.

The change in date was announced after the Caretaker Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC) meeting, chaired by Yobe State Governor Mai Bala Buni, lasy night.

NaijaTimes gathered that the committee decided on a two-week postponement following President Muhammadu Buhari’s approval.

The development it was also gatherd, did not go down well with other party stakeholders, who are clamoring for the convention to be held on the earlier scheduled date as originally planned.

Meanwhile, speculations are that stakeholders agreed to a postponement due to logistical issues with the convention’s planning.
