Ghana set to host third African public sector leaders

IN the third edition of the Africa Public Sector Conference and Awards, Ghana’s Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, will host African public sector leaders (APSCA).

The event will take place between May 11th and 13th, 2022, at the plush Kempinski Hotel in Accra, Ghana, according to a statement released yesterday.

The event, now in its third year, is titled “Repositioning Africa’s Public Sector for Sustainable Development,” and it will bring together stakeholders from all levels of government to showcase international and local case studies, projects, and innovations that have distinguished them as more citizen-centric, vibrant, transformative, and sustainable.

“The event is an invigorating week-long event with activities such as sporting, games, awards and dinner among others. In the conference, thought leaders will share ideas, discuss the newest trends, economic issues and share experiences from across different countries,” the statement added.

Speaking on the event, the organiser, the GCEO of InstinctWave, Mr Akin Naphtal, said, “APSCA will reward public sector agencies and leaders who have showcased excellence in policy innovation and exceptional leadership at various levels of governance.”

Decision-makers from the public and private sectors,  as well as other stakeholders, are expected to participate from Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa, Rwanda, and other Middle Eastern African countries.

At the award ceremony, the top 50 outstanding public sector leaders who have provided excellent value and leadership will be announced and recognized.

Nominations and entry submissions are now open on their website and will close on April 22, 2022.
