THE Police has returned the sum of N303,000, extorted from one Ejiro Ogene by three of its operatives in Abuja on Tuesday.
Force Public RelationsOfficer, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, shared photos of the moment when the money was returned to the owner yesterday and the names of the police officers, who extorted him.
He stated that the officers: Inspector Nuhu Shaibu, Guusu Collins, and Aragon Felix both Police Sergeants ave been arrested.
“They are attached to the Anti-Violence Squad of the FCT Command, Abuja. They were arrested for obtaining N303,000 from Ogene in Abuja on Tuesday,” Adejobi said.
“The money has been recovered from them and handed over to the complainant, Ogene Ejiro. We always urge you to report any misdeed to us. We will act as appropriate,” he added.
