ACTOR and 2007 winner of Mr Nigeria, Bryan Okwara, has said he is not ready for marriage and would rather focus on taking care of himself and his family at the moment.
The 38-year-old in a recent interview said: “No plans for marriage yet but, if God provides we will do that. Anybody that finds a loving partner who is ready to tie the knot, he or she should go ahead; it’s a good thing. And if the person hasn’t found that’s also a good thing.  We just have to be confident in our skins, and be able to take care of ourselves and family. I think that’s what’s more important for now.”
Lending his voice to the high increase of ‘Japa Syndrome’ that is currently making Nigerian Youths relocate abroad in number seeking greener pastures, the actor advised anyone who has an opportunity to do well in Nigeria to stay back and help the country develop more.
“If I were to speak on a broader spectrum, I think people are just relocating because of opportunities. If you have opportunities here, why relocate opportunities and if there’s opportunities there then relocate. That’s how I see it. I don’t think it’s a celebrity thing. I have friends who are not celebrities and they’ve relocated for greener pasture. But if you have an opportunity here to do well in your country, that’s also fine.”
Okwara who had taken a break from movies, avowed that he is back and better with over 40 movies to his credit.
“Ever since I came back I’ve shot over 40 movies, probably. Most of them are on streaming platforms. I’m not the executive producer; executive producers know when they want to release their movies. I’m sure in due time they will start to flood your timeline. So you see the boy’s been busy. And I also don’t charge in dollars (laughs). I get paid in my local currency, depending on the gig though.”
