Nigeria’s Innovation Support Network (ISN Hubs), the nation’s largest network of innovation, technology, and entrepreneurship hubs, aims to create linkages with corporations, development partners, academia, and government to catalyse Nigeria’s innovation ecosystem.
With an innovation ecosystem growing at an unprecedented pace in Nigeria, there are exciting prospects for the country’s immediate and future socio-economic development through the provision of solutions to societal challenges, the creation of businesses, jobs, revenue, and other contributions to nation-building.
With the objective of optimising this capability and attaining the objectives of the African Union’s Agenda 2063 for socio-economic transformation, it’s critical to look at the Nigerian innovation ecosystem both now and in the future and the steps that must be taken.
A combination of public-private collaboration, an enabling environment, and funding would allow the ecosystem to experience even more exponential growth, as evidenced by substantial contributions to GDP and other socio-economic parameters, more solutions to societal problems, and even more Nigerian unicorn startups.
As part of the annual calendar of activities, this year’s Annual Gathering is themed “Beyond Incubation – Hubs as Part of the Societal Problem Solving Puzzle”.

This year, the conference seeks to stimulate conversations among stakeholders, including Hub owners and managers, startups, investors, development partners, corporates, policymakers, and advocates across the innovation ecosystem around mapping and executing strategies for developing visionary innovations in Nigeria.
It will feature panel sessions that examine innovation as a national strategy, the role of the innovation ecosystem in driving inclusive and sustainable development, and the role government needs to play to ensure that we can achieve sustainable socioeconomic transformation within the next decade.
Additionally, the event will explore Nigeria’s innovation ecosystem, the challenges an innovation community faces seeking to innovate sustainably, and the path forward.
ISN’s Annual Gathering will be held virtually on Thursday, October 14, 2021, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm, and participants can register here.
