A man identified as Wealth Nnamdi has allegedly killed his lover and her three-year-old daughter in Edo State.
The suspect was said to have committed the offence on March 18, according to a statement by the spokesman for the Edo State Police Command, Moses Joel Yamu.
Yamu, a Chief Superintendent of Police, said Nnamdi was set to marry his lover on Saturday, March 29.
It is unclear if the suspect had a misunderstanding with the deceased.
However, the Command’s spokesman said, “Ekiadolor Division received a report from a concerned neighbour of the deceased that he is perceiving an offensive odour from his neighbour’s room located at Idiangbona Street of Ovbiogoe Community.”
