THE Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha, has been suspended by the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Gwadabawa Ward of Adamawa State’s Yola North Local Government Area.
The ward executives announced this while speaking to the media at the Gwadabawa Ward office in Yola, Adamawa State’s capital.
The SGF, they maintain, failed to assist the party at the ward level in the 2023 general election and also during the state’s presidential and governorship elections.
Abdulkarim Nuhu, the secretary of the APC in the ward, did not specify when the suspension would end.
Adamawa is the home state of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar.
Recall that during the February 25 presidential election Atiku polled 417,611 votes, easily defeating his main opponents, APC’s Bola Tinubu who polled 182,881 votes and Labour Party’s Peter Obi who polled 105,645 votes while Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP) finished fourth polling 8,006 votes.
Also In the March 18 governorship election, which the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared inconclusive, the incumbent, PDP Governor Ahmadu Fintiri, received 421,524 while the APC’s Aishatu Dahiru, popularly known as Binani, received 390,275 votes.
