Hello Creatives… Step easy, steadily into the new season

IT is no secret that 2020 was a roller coaster for everyone. Everyone started the year with lots of expectations and high hopes. Writers, poets, spoken word artists, all and sundry saw the year as a turning point and a chance to make some headways in their lives.

By March, however, a lot of people lost hope. Some creatives lost themselves, others found themselves and birthed masterpieces. Plans, goals all kept changing as each day brought its wrecking ball.

IT is the second week of the new year. Some creatives have set goals they have abandoned or soon will, due to unrealistic expectations of a great year without putting any effort. Some creatives are setting achievable goals and have already started taking the baby steps which would yield results.

Some creatives are still trying to survey the year with little or no expectation because they do not want to get struck by low jab surprises like the previous year.

With another lockdown looming, other creatives have set their goals to be achievable from home.

REGARDLESS of what part of this book you are, this new year should be a lesson. To take everyday one step at a time.

Do not beat yourself up because even this moment is full of many miracles bursting open.

Open your life wide to new possibilities. Even if the previous year failed, there can still be a twist of fate in your favour as you start over.

Realistic expectations and goals are needed as a creative who wants to grow.

And though it is no secret that some creatives have not quite recovered from the previous year, it is also good if you give yourself some time before you join the moving train to achieving goals.

Hold hope in your calloused hands as you develop those productive plans and goals or take each step through the day.

Drag joy no matter the heaviness.

Hug yourself and breathe love-air.
