#EndSARS: One killed as protest turns violent in Surulere

*Enraged youths attack police station

THE protest against police brutality in the Surulere area of Lagos State turned violent today when two of the protesters were reportedly hit by gunshots.

It was gathered that some of the police officers had shot indiscriminately to disperse the protesters when the incident happened.

The protesters had since shared pictures and videos of the victims on social media.
In the videos that surfaced online, the protesters were seen scampering to safety.

Narrating how the incident happened through their tweeter handles some of the protesters said the medical team on the ground tried their level best to save the lives of the victims of the gunshots but one of them eventually died.

“We just lost a Nigerian to a gunshot, at the Surulere protest.

“The medical team did their best to keep him alive. The young Nigerian also put up a good fight.

“Unfortunately, he couldn’t make it. #SarsMustGoNow #SURULEREPROTEST #ReformTheNigerianPolice— Debo Macaroni (@Vendor_Nigeria) October 12, 2020

“As a result of the sad development, the Surulere Police Division is now under attack by enraged protesters.”
