CELEBRATED Nollywood actress, Stella Damascus today celebrated look-alike daughter, Angelica as the young lady turned 18.

She expressed her gratitude to God for giving her such a beautiful and intelligent daughter. She posted beautiful photos of her adorable daughter on her Instagram page.

Stella got married at the tender age of 21 to Jaiye Aboderin, a lively young man from the prosperous Aboderin family of Ibadan. They had two daughters before Jaiye died in 2004.

She made another attempt at marriage three years later with Emeka Nzeribe but that did not last as they both agreed mutually to go their separate ways, after just seven months together.

However, cupid struck again, but because of her not too pleasant experiences in the institution, she decided to make the third attempt a quiet one; and that relationship which started in 2011 with multiple award-winning Nollywood producer and director, Daniel Ademinokan ,has endured ever since.

It was only in 2014 that it became public knowledge, according to reports.

Apart from acting, Stella is a very good singer. In fact, music brought her to the klieglights.

She started her career as a singer in Lagos, where she worked as a studio session singer at the Klink Studios owned by filmmaker, Kingsley Ogoro.

Stella studied Theatre Arts at the University of Lagos.

She first appeared in the Nigerian film Abused in 1992; but the movie that threw her into the celebrity circuit was her second, Breaking Point, produced by Emem Isong and directed by Francis Agu. She was nominated for the African Movie Academy Award in 2006 for “Best Actress in a Lead Role” for her performance in the movie “Behind closed doors”.

She was again nominated in 2008 for the African Movie Academy Award for “Best Actress in a Lead Role” in the movie “Widow” and in 2009 in the movie “State of the Heart”. She has featured in more than 70 movies; and is now the co-founder of I2radio.

Celebrating her daughter today, she wrote: “Today the 13th of October is a special day for me. 18 years ago I gave birth to my twin and it was a memorable one. I cannot thank God enough for giving me a beautiful, intelligent, loving, caring, and amazing daughter. Happy birthday my angel @angelicatooni I love you too much.”
