Moses eager to play after joining Spartak Moscow

NIGERIAN winger Victor Moses is looking forward to get going in Russia following the completion of his move to Spartak Moscow.

The 29-year-old sealed his loan deal to the Russian club from Chelsea on Friday night.
When reacting to Spartak Moscow’s announcement of the deal, Mosed tweeted: “I can’t wait to get started!”

Chelsea themselves confirmed the deal earlier, giving details of yet another loan switch for the former Super Eagles forward.

“Victor Moses has joined Spartak Moscow on loan for the remainder of the 2020/21 campaign,” Chelsea stated.

“The Russian side are 10 games into their league season and sit second in the table, level on points with Zenit St Petersburg.

“The move follows spells for Moses in Turkey and Italy last season, firstly at Fenerbahce and then at Inter Milan, who he represented in the Europa League final.”

Moses has also been previously loaned out to Liverpool, West Ham and Stoke City since he joined Chelsea from Wigan Athletic in 2012.

He moved on loan to Fenerbahce in January 2019 and scored five times in 23 appearances during his year in Turkey.

He switched to Inter Milan 12 months later, where he linked up once again with Antonio Conte, with whom he had won the Premier League title and FA Cup at Chelsea.

Moses made seven starts and 13 substitute appearances, one of those off the bench coming in that Europa League final, which was narrowly lost to Sevilla.

The 2013 Africa Cup of Nations winner has 128 Chelsea appearances and 18 goals to his name, plus 38 caps and 12 goals for Nigeria. Moses retired from international football after the 2018 World Cup.
