Two fuel tankers explode on Otedola bridge in Lagos

TWO fuel tankers exploded on the Otedola Bridge, Lagos in the early hours of today

The explosions reportedly occurred around 2am, but the huge fire it ignited was still raging as at 6 am.

The number of casualties as at the time of filing this report was uncertain.

The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency via its Twitter handle said it has responded to distress calls from the area.

“The Agency has responded to the distress calls concerning a tanker on fire at Berger along the Lagos Ibadan Expressway,” it tweeted.

Recall in May, similar explosion occurred on the popular bridge.
