SUPER Eagles midfielder Joe Aribo is obviously very happy to return to action after a long spell out.
Aribo sustained an ankle injury in August and missed 13 matches in all competitions for Glasgow Rangers before his recent recovery.
His first game back was as an 89th minute substitute in Rangers’ 2-0 Scottish Premiership win at fierce rivals Celtic.
He continued his comeback on Thursday night, playing the final 23 minutes of Rangers’ 2-0 win at Standard Liege in a UEFA Europa League group phase fixture.
“Over the moon to be back playing,” Aribo wrote on Twitter on Friday.
“Solid team performance last night.”
The 24-year-old central midfielder is important for both club and country, having established himself as a key part of the Nigeria midfield under Gernot Rohr.
Aribo has scored twice for the Super Eagles in four appearances.
