FOLLOWING the outrage in both the Senate and the House of Representatives over the killing of over 43 farmers in Jere Local Government, Borno State, President Buhari has agreed to address the House of Representatives as requested by the lawmakers.
This was made known by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamilla, who also said a date had been agreed on and it will be communicated soon.
The speaker stated that the president is more concerned than most on the insecurity of the nation and will speak to Nigerians through their representatives soon.
Piqued by the worsening state of insecurity in the country, members of the House of Representatives had resolved that the president be summoned to appear in the Green chamber over general insecurity in the country, and especially the killing in Zabarmari village in Borno State.
