DAPO Ojora, a socialite and one of the sons of boardroom guru, Otunba Adekunle Ojora, is dead.
Though Dapo was said to have shot himself in the head Friday evening, family sources said it was a case of accidental discharge.
Dapo’s strange death came as a rude shock to many who could not fathom the reason he would take his own life in such a gruesome manner.
The Lagos Police Command has however, warned against speculation on the cause of death, as it announced it has commenced investigation into the actual cause of death of the socialite and polo buff.
Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, while commiserating with the family, friends and associates of the deceased, said homicide experts in the command’s CID section, had been drafted into the matter.
Odumosu warned against “unfounded and baseless” rumours in the media which he said could hamper police investigation.
A couple of years back, Dapo mysteriously escaped death via a ghastly power bike accident, which forced him to beat a retreat from the public space.
He left behind his parents and two siblings –Toyin Saraki and Yinka Ojora.
Just nine years ago, the Adekunle Ojoras lost the scion of the family, Gboyega Ojora, fondly referred to as Gbegi, who died at the age of 50 of heart attack.
