NATIONAL: 418 new Covid-19 cases recorded as total hits 73,175

THEh Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Sunday night announced 418 new COVID-19 infections, which takes the total confirmed cases in the country to 73,175.
According to the NCDC the new cases were recorded in 16 States of the Federation and FCT.

Giving a breakdown, NCDC said Lagos State recorded the highest cases of the day with 113 infections.

Others are; FCT (86), Abia (47), Kaduna (39), Rivers (27), Katsina (22), Benue (14), Oyo (13), Kano (12), Enugu (8), Edo (7), Imo (7), Bauchi (6), Ebonyi (6), Ogun (6), Ondo (4), and Nasarawa (1).

“Our discharges today include 74 community recoveries in Kaduna State, 49 in Lagos State, 29 in Abia State and 20 in Plateau State managed in line with guidelines.”

It added that 3 persons died from complications resulting from the virus while 240 persons recovered and were discharged from various isolation centres across the country on Sunday.

Currently, Nigeria’s COVID-19 cases stand at 73,175; 66,090 recoveries and 1,197 deaths.
