SOKOTO: Tanbuwal goes into isolation after contact with Covid-19 positive person

GOVERNOR Aminu Tanbuwal of Sokoto State has gone into self-isolation after coming in contact 

Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal, has gone into self-isolation after coming in contact with a person who tested positive for COVID-19.

The governor made this known via his Twitter handle on Friday.

Tambuwal said he had undergone a test and  was awaiting the outcom as of the time he released the statement.

He added that his deputy would oversee all state activities while he’s isolated.

“Gov @AWTambuwal goes into isolation after coming in contact with someone who tested positive for Covid-19. The Deputy Gov will oversee all activities of the state pending the outcome of the test result of the Governor,” the tweet read.

As of Thursday night, Sokoto had recorded a total of 210 COVID-19 cases. While 165 cases had recovered, 17 had lost their lives to the disease.
