FA Cup: Man United vs Liverpool, Arsenal vs Southampton as City, Chelsea draw lower league opponents

Manchester United and Liverpool will clash at Old Trafford in the biggest fixture of the fourth round of the FA Cup, according to the draw done on Monday night.

The Premier League’s top two teams at the moment and England’s two most successful clubs are scheduled to meet a week after their top-of-the-table league encounter at Anfield on Saturday.

In another potential all-Premier League clash, holders Arsenal will face Southampton if the Saints get past Shrewsbury on Monday night.

Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur, Leicester City, Everton and Chelsea were all drawn against  lower League opponents.

Pep Guardiola’s City are away to Cheltenham, Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham will travel to Wycombe Wanderers, Wilfred Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho’s Leicester City will be hosted by Championship side Brentford, Alex Iwobi’s  Everton will host Sheffield Wednesday, while last year’s finalists Chelsea welcome Luton Town.

Crawley Town, who caused the biggest upset in the third round by beating Leeds United 3-0, are away to Bournemouth.

The ties are scheduled for between 22 January and 25 January.

The fifth round draw was also held on Monday night.
