Kaunda’s Administrative Assistant, Rodrick Ngolo, was quoted by Lusaka Times to have refuted the reports, saying that the former President is still very much alive.

News of Kaunda’s death which originated on Social media has been making the rounds and had been reported by several news platforms in West Africa.

“We would like to inform all Zambians and the international community out there that Dr Kenneth Kaunda is fine and in good spirit,” Ngolo’s statement read.

“It is sad that some individuals can stoop so low to start spreading such despicable rumours,” he said.
