NIGERIAN midfielder Eberechi Eze was the match winner for Crystal Palace on Saturday as they defeated Wolverhampton Wanderers 1-0 at Selhurst Park.
The 21-year-old scored the only goal of the match in the 60th minute to give the Eagles all three Premier League points.
The former England youth international, who is still eligible for the Super Eagles, scored with a left-footed strike to take Palace to 13th place, one spot above Wolves.
Eze has been impressive in his first season in the top flight, scoring three goals and making two assists in 19 Premier League appearances.
Also on Saturday in the Premier League, four Nigerian players were involved as West Brom and Fulham played out a 2-2 draw at the Hawthorns.
Super Eagles centre-back Semi Ajayi featured for hosts West Brom against his compatriots Ola Aina, Tosin Adarabioyo and Ademola Lookman.
Ajayi, Adarabioyo and Lookman played the full game while Aina lasted for 81 minutes.
Ivan Cavaleiro scored a late equaliser for Fulham after Kyle Bartley and Mathias Pereira had cancelled out Bobby Reid’s opening goal.
