FA Cup: Iheanacho, Ndidi to face Man United in quarter-finals, Iwobi’s Everton draw City

SUPER Eagles stars Wilfred Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho will face one of the toughest ties in the FA Cup quarter-finals, according to the draw made on Thursday night.

The Nigerians’ club Leicester City will host Manchester United in the headline fixture of the round, with the match taking place in March.

Manchester United reached the semi-finals last season and were also in the last four of the League Cup this season.

The Red Devils got to three semi-finals last season — the FA Cup, League Cup and UEFA Europa League — but lost them all, and are looking to reach their second semis this term.

In their only meeting so far this season, Leicester City equalised twice to force United to a 2-2 Premier League draw at the King Power Stadium.

In the other ties made at Thursday night’s draw, Premier League leaders and Cup favourites Manchester City will be away to Alex Iwobi’s Everton, who defeated Tottenham Hotspur 5-4 in the tie of the fifth round on Wednesday night.

Southampton defeated Wolves in their fifth round clash on Thursday and have been drawn against Championship side Bournemouth in the quarter-finals.

Chelsea will face Sheffield United if Thomas Tuchel’s side can overcome Barnsley.
