ODION Ighalo was the hero on Monday, scoring twice in Al Shabab’s 2-1 Saudi Premier League win over Damac FC.
The former Super Eagles striker netted the first goal of the match in the 12th minute for the league leaders.
Emilio Jose Selaya equalised for the hosts eight minutes later but Ighalo was not done scoring.
The former Manchester United star bagged the winner with six minutes left in the first half, shooting Al Shabab five points clear at the top of the league table.
The 31-year-old has now scored three goals in five appearances since joining Al Shabab from Shanghai Shenhua in February.
Ighalo’s club have 44 points from 21 matches, five points ahead of second-placed Al Hilal.
Damac FC are 15th in the 16-team league with 17 points from 21 matches.
