‘I can’t stand jealous lovers’ – Actress, Mary John

PLUS size Nollywood actress Mary John has bemoaned the challenges she encounters as a curvy TV gal.

For the single mum of one, who recently returned to the industry after a break to have her baby, she is tired of men who stare at her lustfully and pretend to love her genuinely.

Hear her: “For the kind of body I have, men are always all over me, but due to determination and the drive I have, I know what I want, so I waved out all the temptations. Many of them were coming for the body not because they were in love with me, but as an experienced woman I should know what I want, and I stood my grounds.”

Ms. John recalls a recent embarrassing moment, ” I have lots of ugly experience with these men, but the most recent one was I walking on the road and people starting taking pictures of my butts. They were shouting and pointing at my behind but no problems. I’m used to it.”

The Bayelsa state Indigene avows that responsible, respectful, and God-fearing men turn her on, while an uptight man who thinks he owns the world is a turnoff.

“A man who does not understand that a woman too can be busy is a turnoff. Some men are so insecure that when she doesn’t take his calls, he would conclude that she’s with another man. Simply put, a jealous man is a big turnoff for me,” she said.

Recounting how she ended up an actress, Mary Johnson revealed how ‘village people’ made her write JAMB over three times.

‘My educational story is very deep because my mates wrote jamb once but mine was 4 times. Well, not because I am not brilliant but didn’t know the forces behind me not passing. The last one I wrote, I got admission into a private polytechnic and I studied performing and media Art. After that was how I started my career as an actor.”
