THE ruling All Progressives Congress has said the fight against criminality must not be politicised as nobody is safe under a climate of fear.

The party said this while responding to the assassination attempt on Governor Samuel Ortom over the weekend.

The response was contained in a statement issued by Senator John Akpanudoedehe, yesterday, titled, “APC condemns attack on Governor Ortom’s convoy’.

According to the statement, the party expressed gratitude to God for sparing the governor’s life.

The statement read, “We thank God for his safety and praise the dutiful security details for repelling the attack.

“The APC reiterates that we must all collaborate to end criminality in all forms. A crime is a crime and should not be politicised in any way.”
