Yul Edochie slams those who troll Igbo men with ‘igbotic’ accent

NOLLYWOOD actor turned politician Yul Edochie has taken to social media to call out people who laugh at the Igbo for having an ‘igbotic’ accent

The father of four, via his Instagram page, lamented how people accommodate the Chinese and the Italian man when they speak English with their accent but lash out at the Igbo man for speaking with an Igbo accent. 

The Anambra State Indigene, who recently announced his 2023 presidential ambition, wrote, ”The Chinese man speaks English with a Chinese accent. Same with the Italian, etc. But you’re cool with them cos they are white. Then your Igbo brother will speak his Engish with Igbo accent and you laugh at him, oh he’s too igbotic Is he supposed to be Portuguese? Are you ok?”

Yul is the last son of veteran Nollywood actor and broadcaster, Pete Edochie. He is also known for controversial messages on his different social media platforms.
