NIGERIA Breweries Plc, partners of the Nigeria Football Federation, has pledged N1 million for the man of the match in Tuesday’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match between the Super Eagles and the Crocodiles of Lesotho.
The offer is being made through the 33 Export brand of the company for the best player of the day.
The NFF also announced on Monday that another of its partners, GAC Motors, will reward the Most Valuable Player of the day with an additional N1m.
The Super Eagles have not only qualified for the tournament billed for 2022 in Cameroon, they are also guaranteed to win their qualifying group regardless of Tuesday’s result at the Teslim Balogun Stadium.
Nigeria have 11 points from five Group L matches, while Benin Republic are second with seven points. Sierra Leone have four points and Lesotho have three.
The second ticket open to the group will be fought for in Sierra Leone where the Leone Stars host the Squirrels on Tuesday.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State is expected to lead the dignitaries to Tuesday’s encounter at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, with his deputy Dr Obafemi Hamzat, Speaker of the House of Representatives Femi Gbajabiamila, Sports and Youth Development Minister Sunday Dare and the permanent secretary in the ministry Mr Nebolisa Anako also expected.
The match is scheduled to kick off at 5pm Nigerian time.
