President Buhari meets acting IGP Baba

PRESIDENT Buhari received Acting Inspector General of Police Usman Alkali Baba at the State House, Abuja today.

Baba’s appointment was announced, via the Minister of Police Affairs, Alhaji Maigari Dingyadi, while the president was in London for his routine medical check-up.

Though this is the second time the president will be meeting Baba alone, the first time he met him was in the company of security chiefs.

The first time Buhari met Baba he expressed confidence in the new IGP, noting that he knows his onions having risen through the ranks in the Nigeria Police Force.

”He knows his job, he has been in it for a long time, he went through all the training, he has the necessary experience.

”So, we have a high expectation from him.” Buhari had said.
