Dr Ikea Bello throws party to celebrate divorce, Nigerians react

A NIGERIAN lady simply identified as Dr. Ikea Bello has thrown a party to celebrate her divorce.

Dr Bello’s divorce party was held last week and attended by her friends who wore red outfits.

Some of the party’s decorations had inscriptions which read “I do, I did, I’m done”, “Divorced at last”, “bye Felicia”.  

She wrote on Instagram; “About last weekend, My divorce/ freedom party was lit. My 1st look for the day”

The post has since stirred lots of reactions from Nigerians; while some are in support of her decision to celebrate her freedom, others wondered what she must have been through in the course of the union.

An Instagram user identified as Mrpresidennt wrote, “Celebrate sis. Nothing beats freedom and peace of mind from anything that doesn’t make you grow abeg”

Another Instagram user wrote, “I don’t know but this goes against all sorts of morals humans should stand for!!!! Throwing a divorce party  for a wedding you gathered people to attend?  WTF is going on with our Generation?

Syei wrote, “How we go from “I can’t do without you baby” to “thunder fire your papa” is very very funny  and a mystery.”

Alex added her comment, “No divorce is easy. Forget all these razzmatazz. This is someone you once saw your world in then all of a sudden boom the end.”
