THE Senior Special Assistant to Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, on Security, Christopher Dega a retired Assistant Inspector General of Police, AIG, has been reportedly killed by unidentified gunmen in Jos, the Plateau State Capital.
Reports say he was shot in the chest several times by the gunmen today.
AIG Dega had a brilliant career in the Nigerian Police Force and was twice Commissioner of Police in Borno and Edo States.
He hailed from Katsina-Ala Local Government Area.
