NIGERIAN French-Canadian singer, Töme, has released her latest single titled ‘Nana.’
‘Nana’ is a song with mixture of afrobeats along with the touching lyricism of the indie-folk music of singer’s childhood.
Tome released her sophomore album titled, #BiggerThan4Walls-Chapter 2, in 2020 after her debut album, Tomesroom – Chapter 1, which was a hit and earned her a nomination at the Canada awards.
Speaking about the song, Töme said: “I think it’s safe to say that when it comes to boys/men and relationships, you need to make sure you know what you want and if they don’t like it, we’ll you can’t hear them.”
The sensational singer has carved a niche for herself in the music industry by widening the scope of afro-fusion.
Tome’s uniqueness lies in her unlearned melodies and blistering lyricism, as she blends the best of both worlds for music that point to the fact that she is a Nigerian without being within the shores of the country.
The singer plans to tour Canada early next month in a bid to popularize her new single and upcoming EP.
