NILE University, Abuja have won the Nigeria Basketball Federation National Division One league title.
They defeated Ebun Comets 74-62 in Monday’s final to win the trophy.
The Comets were unbeaten until the defeat to Nile University.
Nnoruka Francis led the game in scoring with 21 points and added seven rebounds.
He was voted as the 2021 League’s Most Valuable Player.
A special plaque was also presented to the management of Nile University for their continued support for basketball for grassroots sports development.
Samuel Uchichi contributed 13 points and three assists while Moses Levi scored 11 points to help Nile University to secure the win.
In the third place game of the Total NBBF National Finals play-off, Yobe Warriors overpowered Savannah conference rivals, ABU Kings.
The Warriors from Yobe State won 79-69 to claim the bronze medal.
