NIGERIAN music legend, Innocent Tuface Idibia better known as 2baba, has finally penned a tribute to his dear friend, late music star Olanrewaju Abdul-Ganiu Fasasi, popularly known as Sound Sultan.
Hours after the family announced the singer’s demise on Sunday, Tuface had shared a black image on his Instagram page and captioned it ‘NO.’
However, in a new post shared on Instagram, Tuface said the news of Sound Sultan’s death is still unreal, and he is yet to bring himself to write a tribute to the Jagbajantis crooner.
Tuface said he’s grateful to the music star and the blessings he represented in his life before his shocking demise.
He also promised the deceased that his family would be safe and live a good life.
“I couldn’t bring myself to do this but what can we do. Rest well. Till we meet again my dear friend and brother.
“Still so unreal. Will never stop celebrating u. I promise u your fam will be safe and good. GRATEFUL for u and the blessings that u represented in my life,” he wrote.
Sound Sultan died in the early hours of Sunday, July 11, at the age of 44, following his battle with Angioimmunoblastic T- Cell Lymphoma.
