Nollywood veteran, Rachel Oniga, to be laid to rest on August 27

BURIAL arrangements are already afoot for the remains of the veteran Nollywood actress, Rachel Oniga who died Friday last week, but the place of rest is still not disclosed although committal is slated for August 27, 2021. She was 64 years old. 

Tunji Oniga, her son made the disclosure about the burial in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 in Lagos. Wake keep would hold on August 26 at her residence in Magodo, Lagos State, while she would be laid to rest on August 27.

The cause of death was initially said to be COVID-19 related complications, but the family dismissed it saying rather that she died from a heart-related challenge she suffered for a short while before breathing her last.

The veteran actress starred in several big productions including ‘Sango,’ and Wale Adenuga’s television series, ‘Super story.’

Her Nollywood debut was made in the 1996 hit movie, ‘Onome’.
