NIGERIAN celebrity artiste and multi-talented songster, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun aka Wizkid or Starboy, is breaking new grounds and exploring new frontiers to hype up his brand personality as he features Canadian music great, Justin Bieber in the remix of his hit song Essence.
The song which was at a point rated as “Song of the Summer” featured Tems but the remix has Canadian music star, Justin Bieber featuring live. The song dropped this morning, Friday, August 13, 2021.
The Afrobeats star hinted at the collaboration on Thursday, August 12, 2021, with Justin Bieber confirming it. “Thank you for letting me jump on the song of the summer. Essence remix out now,” Justin wrote.
The un-remixed song is currently at No. 54 on the Billboard Hot 100. Whizkid has won ore than 20 national and international awards as the versatile maestro waltzes through Afrobeat, Reggae, Dancehall, Hip-hop and Pop genres. He can be said to be one of Nigeria’s music greats in contemporary reckoning.
