THE State Government says it is considering legal action against the Nigeria Customs Service over last Monday’s ghastly accident.

No fewer than eight people had died and 15 others wounded in the accident involving an NCS patrol vehicle in the Jibia Local Government Area of the state.

Governor Aminu Masari, in a statement yesterday by his Director-General, Media, Abdul Malumfashi, condemned the accident, vowing that his administration would “not condone any more of such incidents again.”

The governor extended his condolences to the families of the deceased and those who sustained injuries.

He said his “government is considering instituting legal action against the Nigeria Customs Service so that it may serve as a deterrent against the future occurrence of these fatal incidents,” which, according to him, have “assumed a frightening regularity in the state.”
