REAL Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has clarified that the club are not interested in re-signing Cristiano Ronaldo.
There have been reports that Ronaldo was on his way back to Real Madrid, where he won four UEFA Champions League titles, including one under Ancelotti in 2014.
However, Juventus expect the 36-year-old forward to stay at the club this summer, according to Sky Sports.
He has 12 months remaining on his contract with former Serie A champions Juventus and has not issued them a transfer request.
Spanish TV show El Chiringuito de Jugones reported on Monday night that Real Madrid wanted to re-sign Ronaldo, but Ancelotti countered that story on Tuesday, tweeting: “Cristiano is a Real Madrid legend and has all my love and respect.
“Never have I tried to sign him. We’re looking forward.”
Real Madrid sold Ronaldo to Juventus for a fee of around £100m in 2018, and he has won two Serie A titles and the Coppa Italia with the Italian giants.
They however lost the league title to Inter Milan last season, barely finishing fourth.
