FIVE years after a career-ending car accident, Nollywood actor, Victor Olaotan, has died. He was 69 last February 17.

Olaotan, best known for his role as Fred Ade-Williams in the long-running soap opera, Tinsel, was driving to a movie set in October 2016 when he had an accident around Apple Junction, in Festac, Lagos.

Businessman Femi Otedola and others in 2018 contributed money for his treatment in Nigeria and Turkey. This followed a public call by his wife for assistance to enable him undergo surgery and treatment in Turkey, amounting to over N39m.

The wife Julia Olaotan, had in 2019, issued a second call for further assistance to facilitate a second phase of the medical procedure but that did not seem to have commanded enough attention.
