TWO Nigerian players are in line to make their debuts for their Premier League clubs this weekend, according to their clubs’ managers.

Wide forward Ademola Lookman, 23, joined Leicester City on loan from RB Leipzig last month, while Michael Olise stepped up to the top flight from Reading to Crystal Palace earlier in the transfer window but has had fitness concerns.

Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers suggested that Lookman will be ready to make his Foxes debut on Saturday at home to Manchester City, praising the England-born Nigerian.

“I’m really excited to work with him. He’s a top talent,” Rodgers said during his pre-match press conference.

“My hope is that he will shine in the environment he comes into. I have no doubt the Leicester supporters will be really excited by him.”

While Lookman already has Premier League experience having played for Everton, from where he was sold to Leipzig, and on loan at Fulham last season, Olise is on course for his debut in the division.

Palace manager Patrick Vieira revealed that Olise will be available for selection when Crystal Palace face Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.

Olise, 19, has been working to return to full fitness and, Vieira says, could now make his Palace debut.

“Michael has been working well in the last two weeks and has trained all week with the squad. He will be involved in the game tomorrow,” the former Arsenal midfielder said during his pre-match press conference on Friday.

“It’s good news for the football club, it’s good news for him. He was really frustrated but we have had to go through the procress to get him fit and he’s been doing really well. He will be part of the group tomorrow.”
