GOVERNOR Umar Ganduje today said he has no N60 billion to complete abandoned 5km road project across 44 local area councils of the state.
While assuring of his readiness to complete all projects initiated by his administration, Ganduje said there were no funds to complete those initiated by his predecessor.
He said, “We inherited projects initiated during Sardauna’s era, we completed projects abandoned by previous administrations that included my predecessor, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, but I don’t have N60b to complete the abandoned 5km road project by him”.
Senator Kwankwaso had at the twilight of his administration in 2015 awarded a multi-million naira 5km road across the 44 local government areas of the state that were, however, abandoned.
Dr. Ganduje explained that “we don’t intend to leave behind any projects embarked by my administration, things are going on as planned, and there are hopes that the contractors will deliver as scheduled.”
