NO fewer than 18 persons were killed and an unspecified number shot when bandits attacked Kuryar Madaro community in Kaura Namoda Local Government Area, yesterday.

It was gathered that the gunmen stormed the village last night, shooting sporadically as the locals fled for safety,
Sources said a police patrol vehicle, houses, food banks, and shops were set ablaze and large quantities of foodstuff were carted away by the gunmen.
The attack is the first since telecommunication network was restored in Gusau after one month of shutdown to allow security operatives carry out operations in all bandit enclaves across the state.
