THE All Progressives Congress (APC) congress in Adamawa State scheduled for today has been postponed.
The chairman caretaker committee of the party, Barrister Ibrahim El-Sudi, said this was because of securityy concerns.
He said there was a threat to peace as some contestants have smuggled in thugs to disrupt the exercise.
El-Sudi stated that the committee sent in by the National Secretariat of APC to conduct the congress have invited all stakeholders to a meeting in Abuja where a Memorandum of Understanding will be signed to ensure the peaceful conduct of the Congress in a new date to be announce very soon.
Meanwhile, critical stakeholders in Nasarawa State have adopted a consensus arrangement to elect new leaders for the party in the state.
It was gathered that delegates across the local government areas of the state had started assembling in Lafia Square for the exercise.
