LIBERIA’s contingent for Saturday’s the Qatar 2022 World Cup qualifier against Nigeria have arrived in Tangier, Morocco for the fixture.
The Lone Star landed in the North African country on Monday with 22 players, only six of them based in Liberia.
The squad includes three goalkeepers, seven defenders, seven midfielders and five forwards.
Fourteen of the players are based in Europe, mostly in the mid-level leagues of Sweden, Romania, Kosovo, Azerbaijan and Cyprus.
They also have players in the top flights of Czech Republic, the Netherlands, Switzerland and Finland, with two more from Jordan and Malaysia.
The fixture is being held in Morocco because there are no appropriate venues in Liberia, and the Lone Star chose the North African country.
The Lone Star are bottom of African qualifying Group C with just three points from four matches, five points of leaders Nigeria.
Cape Verde are second with seven points, with Central African Republic third on four points.
The group winners will join nine other teams in the final round playoffs for the five African slots in Qatar.
