EMMANUEL Dennis has been nominated for the Premier League Player of the Month for November.
The Nigeria international is up for the award for the first time since he joined Watford from Club Brugge at the beginning of the season.
Dennis is nominated along with five other players, all of whom play for bigger clubs.
The Watford forward however was as productive as any of the other nominees in November.
Dennis had four goal contributions in three matches in the month under review, scoring twice and making two assists.
His best performance came against Manchester United, when Watford stunned the Red Devils 4-1 and ended Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s reign as manager.
Dennis scored once and assisted twice in that big win, Watford’s only victory in November.
The Nigerian is only the sixth player to reach at least five goals and five or more assists in his first 12 Premier League matches.
The other nominees are Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold and Diogo Jota, Manchester City’s Joao Cancelo and Bernardo Silva, as well as Aston Villa’s John McGinn.
Full-back Alexander-Arnold scored one goal and made four assists as Liverpool won two games and lost one in November, while his teammate Jota produced three goals.
Forward Silva contributed two goals to Manchester City’s three wins, with his compatriot and teammate Cancelo adding two assists from his full-back role.
Villa midfielder McGinn scored one goal as Steven Gerrard began his reign with two wins and a defeat in November.
To determine the award’s winner, fans’ vote will be combined with those of a panel of football experts. The winner will be announced next week.
