Nigerian, Ime Archibong, named VP at Meta, formerly Facebook

A NIGERIAN, Ime Archibong, has been appointed Head of New Product Experimentation and Vice President, Product Partnerships for Meta, formerly known as Facebook. 

Ime’s parents are both Nigerians. He was born in Kansas and has lived all his life there in the United States.

Before joining Facebook (now Meta), Ime was an Advanced Technology Business Development Professional at International Business Machines Corporation (IBM) where he focused on the licensing of the company’s global portfolio of storage research technology.

He began his career at IBM as a software engineer in the Systems and Technology Group, before moving to the corporate strategy team, and eventually settling in business development.

The new Vice President has an exceptional educational background.

He holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Yale University.

He had also captained the Basketball Team during his time at the univeristy, receiving the Roosevelt L. Thompson Prize, awarded to a graduate for exemplifying great human warmth, a commitment to fairness, compassion for all people, and the promise of moral leadership.

Ime also holds an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business where he served as class president.
