FOR singer and actress, Seyi Ariyo, aka Shebaby, who recently turned 40, she has outgrown feeling sad or depressed over negative comments on her social media pages.
“When I read negative comments now, I contact my Manager who helps to scrutinize the perspective of the poster because sometimes critics are needed to help us with check and balance of what we prove to represent. So negative comments rather than getting me infuriated as it does to many, only gets me to be a better individual. Except of course if it’s extreme and personal, I’d just ignore,” she said in a recent interview.
While reacting to the rate at which her colleagues opt to go under the knife to achieve a sexier body, Shebaby is of the opinion that there are safer ways to good and attractive.
“Yes, many of them have subscribed to the new definition of the word ”Beautiful.” I sincerely do no not envy them neither do I crave that which they’ve undergone. Confidence and beauty is beyond our outward appearances and physiques. It is who we think and perceive ourselves to be. Don’t be surprised that many who do still don’t get satisfied or feel good about their bodies. They still end up having low self-esteem. My take is, if there be any growth I’m not comfortable with in any part of my body, I work out to fix it. It feels natural enough for me. I’m definitely not going through surgery anytime soon.”
